Four Year College Scholarship Program

Welcome students to the San Mateo Rotary Foundation 4-Year College Scholarship Program. This program is for students planning to attend a 4-Year College or University in the next academic year.

  • To be eligible for this scholarship, students must attend one of the following high schools or community colleges: San Mateo, Aragon, Hillsdale, Junipero Serra, College of San Mateo, Canada College or Skyline College. If applying as a student from CSM, Canada or Skyline, then the student would need to have graduated from San Mateo, Aragon, Hillsdale, or Junipero Serra high school and are planning to attend a four-year college during the next school year.
 
  • Criteria for this scholarship program are the following: financial need, grade point average, community involvement, school activities, leadership roles, work experience, and the desire to continue their educational pursuits at a 4-Year College or University.​​​
 
  • This scholarship program includes an interview that the student will need to attend to be eligible for this scholarship.
 
  • OPEN: Applications are available online starting January 1st each year. Your Counseling and Financial Aid offices at each school will have the new link each year to provide to students wanting to apply for this scholarship.  The school counselors can provide interested students more information and guidance about the application process. For Community College students, the Financial Aid departments at the San Mateo County Community College District school you are attending will have the link available on their scholarship information site.
 
  • CLOSE: The application deadline is at 5pm on March 31st of the same year that the application opens in January.
 
  • This scholarship is awarded for one year / first year of college only. All funds must be used within 24-months after it has been awarded.
