This week's Spinnings highlights the work we're doing in support of Rotary International's newest goal:  Protecting the Environment.   We hope you'll participate in one or more of the events listed below.  All represent a terrific way to give back to our community while enjoying some time outdoors and the fellowship of great company! 
TREE PLANTING AT LEAD ELEMENTARY....

We'll help beautify the Lead Elementary School Campus together with Scout Troop #42 by planting six Gold Medallion trees.   Please bring shovels, wheelbarrows, stake hammers, regular hammers, and grubhoes.

LEAD Elementary School
District 5150 Day of Service
District 5150 is hosting a Day of Service on April 9th at Coyote Point beginning at 8:30 a.m.  Join other Rotarians from San Mateo County to help with beach cleanup, enjoy lunch, and attend an Electric Vehicle & E-Bike Expo as well as an Environmental Information Fair.   You do need to register, so click on the link to get started!

How about a trip to the coast?
Fellow Rotarian Laura Porter is co-sponsoring a beach clean-up at Poplar Beach in Half Moon Bay on April 16th between 10 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.  A great way to enjoy the Coastside while investing your time & energy in a great cause.  See the link below for more details from the Surfrider Foundation or contact Laura at laura.b.porter@gmail.com.
