Recognizing
remembering rotarian kristin jensen
Tragically, in Spring 2020 as COVID-19 gave us some of our bleakest days, fellow Rotarian Kristin Jensen took her life after struggling with mental health challenges.  We so miss her presence at our weekly meetings, her devotion to her children, and her commitment to community service.  Cheryl Angeles, Sheila Canzian, and donors from our Club have raised funds for a bench in Kristin's memory at Beresford Park to be dedicated Tuesday, 9/14, at 4:00 p.m.  SM Rotary will focus on mental health in the months ahead and on how to recognize signs someone may need support.  Please be in touch with Cheryl Angeles if you would like more details.

recognizing rosemary azem
Hats off to Rosemary Azem for her incredible support of Rotary International outreach efforts.
Rosemary has devoted many hours to selflessly helping raise funds for a variety of international projects, including the support of pediatric cardiac surgery in Beirut and scholarships for high school students in Belize.  Rosemary has also spearheaded our Club's annual participation in contributions to the Rotary International Foundation, setting the bar high through her own personal donation level.  The Rotary Club of San Mateo recently honored Rosemary for achieving Level 9 status.  Next stop?  Major Donor!!!  Mega Thanks, Rosemary!!!
