From a Climate Change Thought-of-the-Day by Gary White to a Muskian Newscast from Peter Webb to a riveting presentation by Sportscaster Extraordinaire Lee Hammer, the April 14th meeting was a busy one! President Rod is doing his best to cajole/strong-arm/persuade new inductees into his President's Club - he hit the jackpot the past two Thursdays! Thanks to the new inductees for stepping up to the plate & joining the President's Club. Well-done!
The Easter Bunny paid a visit to Poplar Creek. A funny bunny, though - had blue ears!!! Rotarians enjoyed feasting on the chocolate eggs!
Peter brought along a copy of the Daily Journal as fodder for his Newscast which focused on Elon Musk. Will the Poison Pill prevail?
Hats off to President Rod & his intrepid Sgts-at-Arms Chris & Ross - a truly terrific trio! Lots of logistics to a weekly meeting - they take care of it all with great aplomb!
President Rod feted Brian for Sullivan & Co.'s recognition as a Top 10 Emerging Tech Valuation Services Company by Tech Outlook magazine.
Kudos to Brian who was pleased to join the President's Club!
Why is Laura is beaming? Because her new sustainable store now has a home in downtown San Mateo and will open later in May. Products will be free of single use plastics! A great reason to join the President's Club!
Proud papa Skip introduced his son Liam to the Club and immediately offered to join the President's Club, leaving President Rod speechless for a split second until he graciously accepted Skip's kind offer. Liam is a recent grad of San Mateo High!
Somehow, somewhere, someone....Wonder who? Gremlins obviously at work when President Rod displayed a photo of Jeff & Chris at a Serra formal in their long-ago high school days! Based on Jeff's smile, it was a fond memory! After some entertaining banter, Jeff made President Rod happy & joined the President's Club!
Bruce wasn't sure he should be featured in the battle for new President's Club members. A gremlin had given President Rod a picture of Mitch Postelregaling Bruce with a Rotary joke at the CSM Centennial Gala. Based on the quality of the joke, Bruce thought Mitch should be inducted instead, but President Rod prevailed & Bruce relented.
