Rotarians have been busy this month interviewing potential scholarship recipients as well as donating to the Scholarship Club to make sure funds are available for the outstanding students who have applied to receive Rotary Scholarships.
With thanks to Dennis Murphy for organizing last week's Rotary Night at the Giants. Although the Dodgers won the game, the Scholarship Club was a winner, too! $336 was donated to The Scholarship Club from ticket sales. Dennis Thomas generously stepped up to the plate and added $360 to the total! Thanks to both Rotarians named Dennis!

The Hillsdale/Middle College Effect Picnic is always a highlight of the Rotary year. Join us at Beresford Park this Tuesday for a delicious lunch and the chance to catch up on the microcredit work we're supporting in Guatemala. Don't go to Poplar Creek this week or you'll be very lonely!
An enthusiastic shout-out to everyone who participated in this past week's scholarship interviews! Sheila Canzian, Jeff Lowenstein, and Margaret Taylor tackled the monumental challenge of gathering applications, distributing them to Rotarians who then conducted preliminary interviews, and ultimately scheduling a time for each applicant to meet the Scholarship Interview Team comprised of Lynn Armenio, Sheila Canzian, Kitty Lopez, Jeff Lowenstein, Mike Peterson, Margaret Taylor, and Bill Walters. This intrepid team conducted interviews between 4:00 and 9:00 p.m. last Tuesday and Thursday evenings. We appreciate their time and dedication!
