Polio makes a comeback
 
New cases in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Gaza  confound Rotary's 35 year effort to eradicate the disease....but the continued vaccination program has prevented a widespread catastrophe.  Your dues help fund the $3 cost of vaccinating one child......1$ Rotary plus $2 from Gates Foundation.  Rotary Foundation has pledged $500,000 for Gaza vaccinations. 
 
Hillbarn Theater presents..our program
Steve Muterspaugh  is the Executive Artistic Director.  The 3 paid staff and an army of volunteers put on 3 musicals and 3 plays a year with a budget of  $1.1 million. Hillbarn began in 1940... The land in Foster City was donated by the Foster family in 1968.  Hillbarn is the 6th longest continuously operating community theater in US...this is their 84th season.  
To produce a show the army of volunteers and pro's work 30 hours a week for 5 weeks culminating in 3 final rehearsals before performing  a dozen public shows.
Challenges include rising costs and a 50 year old theater.
'Anastasia' opens Dec 5....tickets range from $44 to $60...Rotary may plan a group outing....with a group discount!
