On July 30th President Joan shared highlights of her experiences at the rotary international conference in singapore.
RI president Mcinally opened the conference & encouraged rotarians to be positive catalysts in the world, building peace by stamping out disease, supporting education, strengthening mothers & children, & sustaining the environment.
president joan shared several global projects as examples of positive catalysts, including the work of Tayyaba Naheed Gul who has made it her mission to bring polio vaccine to Afghanistan & Pakistan, putting her own safety at great risk.
President Joan asked the club if they knew about the wto. no one did. started by jack sims, the wto has installed millions of toilets around the world, bringing basic sanitation to communities to help fight disease.
