Several years ago Graham was invited to travel to Pakistan just when he was feeling a need for a reboot. He visited Forman Christian College which is a Presbyterian institution founded in 1821 in Lahore whose mission is Education Not Conversion. Western diplomats and visitors find at Forman a landing place in the Muslim Middle East.
Women are at the bottom of the class structure, but they can graduate and find support in the network of alumni. Graham's Burlingame Presbyterian Church is a financial supporter of Forman with scholarships for women.
