Bernard Muir, Jaquish & Kenninger Director of Athletics at Stanford, captured everyone's attention during his remarks at the September 26th meeting. He's had quite the rollercoaster ride as the Pac-12 has dissolved & Stanford has had to find a new home. Eventually Stanford landed together with CAL in the ACC (Atlantic Coast Conference). Muir noted he's become much better acquainted with CAL Athletics Director Jim Knowlton over the past few months. The main force behind the PAC-12 demise was TV revenues. Fully 85% of the revenue for college sports is generated by football!

PLASTIC FREE FREEZING?
Juliana Fuerbringer provided this week's Climate Change Committee's Plastic Free Suggestion. It's easy to freeze food without plastic. How?
Mason jars are great. Just be sure to leave room for the liquid to expand.
Stainless steel. The best option for leftovers. Stainless steel containers are watertight and freeze-proof.
Butcher paper or waxed paper. Good option for a shorter period of time.
