SPINNINGS

Thanksgiving Week 2021

Is Your Head Still Spinning?

Our November 18th meeting was full to overflowing (apt as we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving!) with a mind-boggling introduction to cryptocurrency as well as lots of club business. President Rod valiantly kept everything on schedule and even managed to add another willing victim...er, donor....to his President's Club.
Tech-savvy Past President Kitty provided us with a reflective Thought of the Day which she read from her iPhone!
Margaret and Dave must have conferred on their meeting attire - both appeared in almost identical outfits. Here's to red, black and plaid!
John anchored the Pledge with vigor, launching our lunch meeting with patriotic flair!
Who might this be? Tommy Rogers - the CCS Cross Country Champ from Serra who will run in the State Champion-
ships on Saturday, 11/27 in Fresno.
Who might this be? Tommy's proud papa, Nick, who shared news of Tommy's cross country success.
President Rod gave a gentle nudge and Nick happily joined the President's Club!
Hats off to smiling Mike who suggested to Nick that Tommy should give cross country a try at Serra and introduced him to the coach. A great gesture from a past Padre to a current one!
Bart Stephens of Blockchain Capital led us through the intricacies of cryptocurr-
ency.  We can discuss block-
chains, altcoins, and mining at our Thanks-
giving tables this year!

Not sure if President Rod had to buy lunch for anyone, but President-Elect Dick was revealed as the toddler in this week's darling
baby photo. Glad to see he still has that radiant smile!
Stay tuned for more info next week on The Tree Club - a club project to plant trees in North Shoreview. Hope you'll help - with sweat equity, $ or both!
Our Speaker on December 2nd will be
Robert Dugoni
